It’s with disappointment that we let you know Door Off Broadway Dinner Theatre is going out of business.  Tourism in Door County has continually declined since we opened our doors in 2000.  The Chamber of Commerce recently hired a consultant firm to assess what can be done to reach vacationers and entice them to this wonderful, quaint part of Wisconsin, but unfortunately we can’t wait for their results to hopefully come to fruition.

 

Many of you know that Jim and Jill, the theatre part of our enterprise, live elsewhere in the off season.  Strangely, the St. Croix Valley area of western Wisconsin/eastern Minnesota has exploded these last seven years.  Therefore, in March of 2006 they opened St. Croix Off Broadway Dinner Theatre at the Best Western Hudson House Inn in Hudson, WI, just minutes from the Twin Cities and closer to their home.  This dinner theatre is year round and also has the additional amenity of lodging.  Please consider St. Croix Off Broadway should you plan a sight seeing trip to that area (e.g., Mall of America, State Capitol).  The web site is www.stcroixoffbroadway.com for more information.

 

We appreciate your support whether you came once or every year.  It’s too bad one can’t just work for fun, as we had a lot of that, but simply couldn’t continue going into debt.  We enjoyed entertaining you.
